Micca M-8S In-Wall Speakers
The M-8S utilizes a classic 2-way design in a rectangular form factor. It is well suited to a variety applications and mounting locations depending on need:
- In-wall as front or center speakers in a home theater
- In-wall as surround speakers in a home theater
- In-wall or in-ceiling as background music speakers
For mounting locations where the M-8S' size is impractical, the round M-8C is a good alternative. The M-8C uses the same drivers and components as the M-8S in-wall speakers, making for excellent tonal match in mixed installation applications such as home theaters. (However, the M-8S uses a superior crossover design for the woofer.)
Dynamic and Balanced
The M-8S is a 2-way in-wall speaker with a high excursion 8" poly woofer and a 1" soft dome tweeter. This combination provides the utmost flexibility in terms of configuration and suitability to different types of audio tastes. In addition to smooth and natural vocals, the 8" woofer is capable of robust bass output, allowing the M-8S to be used without the need for a subwoofer in many applications. When a subwoofer is present, the bass capabilities of the M-8S ensure seamless integration at frequencies that smaller woofers simply can't reach.
Imaging and Clarity
The 1" soft dome tweeter provides abundant detail and clarity, generating solid and focused imaging for all sound sources in a spacious sound stage. Designed for a broadened listening sweet spot, the tweeter employs a diffuser to assist off-axis response as well as a pivoting mechanism to achieve proper aiming. Perfect integration between the tweeter and woofer is achieved through a 12dB crossover network with a compensation network. Once installed and setup, these speakers "disappear" and melt into a realistic sound stage - as it was meant to be.
